8th Grade (Black Team) Head Coach - Jason Hatfield
Coach Jason Hatfield has been coaching baseball for 10 years. Jason has coached summer baseball for the Hilliard Bombers the last 4 years. In the winters, Jason coaches the Girls JV Basketball Team at Darby. He played baseball, football, and basketball at Davis High in California. Jason is currently attending The Ohio State University where he is completing the requirements for a license in Career Tech Education. Jason has been married to his wife Arianne for 20 years. They have 2 kids Olivia and Grant who currently attend Darby High School. In his spare time he enjoys being with his family and playing golf.
7th Grade (Blue Team) Head Coach - Brett Maniaci
Coach Brett Maniaci has been coaching baseball for 10 years. In addition to coaching the Heritage Middle School baseball team,
Brett has coached summer baseball including the Hilliard Legion teams and Darby HS summer teams. Brett is also a head coach in the of sports wrestling and football at Heritage MS. Brett was a
three sport athlete (football, wrestling, and baseball) and graduated from Hilliard Darby HS in 2003. After High School Brett played football at Muskingum College. Brett is currently
attending The Ohio State University where he is completing the requirements for a license in Special Education Teaching. Brett was recently married to
Courtney (also a Darby grad) . His hobbies are the sports he coaches, but when he has the free time he likes to hike, camp, and spend time with family and friends.
7th/8th Grade (White Team) Head Coach Martin
Coach Martin is a graduate of Bowling Green State University and received a Masters Degree from Dayton University in Administration. He has been teaching for 19 years, and has been in the Hilliard City Schools his entire career. Coach Martin teaches Media Explorations at Heritage Middle School where his classes produce the daily announcements and the yearbook. In addition to coaching baseball at Heritage, he also coaches football at Heritage. Coach Martin is married to his wife Amy, and has two children, Gregory (6) and Gracie (4). He believes that being a part of a team is one of the most valuable experiences that his players will ever experience.
